Woodlot Management

The Rutgers Snyder Research and Extension Farm has a 25 acre woodlot that will serve as a demonstration site over the next several years addressing various aspects of woodlot management.  The site will provide a hands-on demonstration of the impact of various aspects of woodlot management including regeneration of forest tree species, evaluation of under story invasive week species in the impact of deer browsing on the regeneration of various tree species.  This area will include the utilization of exclusionary deer fencing to provide private and public interest groups with information regarding the forest ecosystem and various management programs.
